Active Shooter: How to Survive
Find Out More
In the laboratory, just like any other work environment, incidents occur. Because of the types of materials that are used in laboratories, and the experiments that take place, many of these incidents can develop into emergencies. When they do, employees have no choice but to deal with them. In these emergency situations there are often critical moments when lives and property may be at stake. Employees must know the correct courses of action to take so that they can minimize damage and prevent injuries, if possible.
To help employees plan for laboratory emergencies, and handle them when they occur, this education and training program is designed to present basic information in these areas. Topics include the Emergency Plan, responding to fires and chemical spills, evacuation requirements, spill cleanup procedures and use of safety showers and eyewashes.
